This would make my nuts shrink. No friggin way. First off, when you're doing a real bungee jump, you know the equipment is tested and most times, commercial bungee jumps don't get you very close to the ground. That chick looks like she was one floor or maybe even less from the ground. The possibility of the rope (or whatever homemade crap they were using) snapping, the possibility of something going wrong and swinging at high speed into the building etc. Hell no.

The dumbest thing I ever did involving heights was jumping into safety nets under a bridge that was being worked on. Looking back now, it was borderline insane. Doing it in the dead of winter too.

There is a reason these things are banned in most state that have actual boating regs. In NH you can loose your boating license for using one. I personally would stand out on one of those steal beems (base jumping heaven) or try the russian suicide swing thing anyday before getting on a kite tube. I have the control in those situations (assuming i can check the swing rigging) but i leave my life in the hands of the boat driver on the tube. No thanks.

At any rate, according to the guys at CSI-reddit, it passed the Forensic Error Level Analysis test for a jpeg, so it is not a photoshop!!! After watching the long version, I still think the pneumatic prank is a fake. With the way they set this up, there is no way I can see to achieve that result the way they did. They're supposed to have used just air to knock him back (the styrofoam peanuts were just to have something blown out the tube). To have enough air pressure to blow a man back like that would have required a LOT of thrust. That much thrust would have blasted the tank backwards even harder than the guy.

The key though, is the victim's lab coat. A blast of air powerful enough to knock him back that hard would have blasted his coat back. You would have seen the coat flare out around him before he went flying back (simple physics of comparative mass, inertia and aerodynamics, not to mention I've played with air cannons before). The coat does the opposite. It wraps around him as he's knocked/pulled back.

If it had been some sort of projectile loaded in the barrel that knocked him back that way, it would have ruptured internal organs.

It's a fake, but quite a well made fake.

islam (despite what the pacifist elements claim) seeks a new caliphate. ruled by nothing other than sharia law, as dictated by divinely-selected imams. this would be fine and dandy if they wanted to stick to their corner of the globe. when the decided to start exporting their shit, it's time to take action. i'm not about to stand for sharia law being pushed down my throat. and the day that america decides to let subsections of her populace abide by sharia law instead of constitutional law; i'm going to take up arms against my brothers. this is the land of religious freedom. if you want to live in a land of religious dictates, it's about 8,000 miles east of the carolinas.

It didn't work out because your party flat out refused to let anything get done, necessitating the watering down of every policy Obama ever proposed if not outright scrapping it. In the first 18 months of his administration, the GOP have broken every record for filibustering in American history. They act like f-cking children and sore losers. If the Democrats retaliate in kind next time the GOP has the majority, which is only fair, congress will simply cease to function all together. The bastards even blocked the 9/11 health responders bill. They blocked the New START treaty which would greatly increase the security of decomissioned Russian nuclear warheads. For f-ck's sake...

Don't blame our guy when your own Senate leader said it was the party's top priority to deny Obama a second term. Really? I would hvae thought running the country effectively was the top priority. It used to be that the parties would stop the petty bickering once the election was done and settle down to the matter of governing - instead, all they have done is try sabotage Obama's administration. And the result has seriously hurt America by sabotaging the legislative process and by setting the precedent that the minority party should always block the majority's plans on principle, regardless of what is at stake. At least he made significant progress in restoring our international reputation and repairing the damage Bush did to the EPA and DOJ.

I'll still end up voting for Obama in 2012 because the GOP will probably nominate some completely ignorant and uneducated religious zealot to oppose him. We'll have to choose between four more years of GOP filibustering or someone that believes in abstinence only sex-ed and Creationism.
