I know, back in the day I upgraded once from 3.5.8 and it was unstable as Lindsey lohan. I backed down to 3.5.8 and haven't had any issues since. So the 5.XX with the issues I have seen in reviews scare me.

There are plenty of english signs in Japan (lived there for 4 years). 1. He got stopped because he was open carrying. Even though it's legal where he is, people driving down the street still freaked out and called the cops to report it.
2. Since he wasn't doing anything illegal, he technically doesn't need to provide ID.. at least that's what I'm going with. That'd be like a cop seeing you just sitting on a park bench and asking you for your ID.
