Actually no. I knew it was on its way out... and in the 1/4 mile before it completely locked, it gave me some warning. A smart person would have stopped with the warnings.

Forgot to post pictures here yesterday: I have spent the weekend cleaning and powder coating FMIC pipes, valve covers, etc.
Electrolysis made the piping easy as can be.

The chrome looks good, but the clear is giving me problems on the piping. Getting a Faraday effect around bends. Tried the 15 and 25 settings for the powder coat gun, just can't get a good result yet. I'm sure it'll come with more practice though. Will probably end up redoing the pipes that I've done already.

We follow the earth. The earth follows the stars. The stars know their way and though the body dies. The stars will remain, like the waves of the sea and restless slate.

I didn't hear anything when mine locked up, so it scared the shit out of me. Course I was at high way speed with the radio blasting, so..there's that. I would imagine a whining noise would be about right, maybe similar to a supercharger belt whine? Or maybe it sounds like rocks in a tumbler? :P

    Yea, kinda like that.

Little whine earlier, then rocks in a tumbler right before it locked. I was on a smooth road and it made it feel very bumpy.
