I would make it work the opposite way......12* at low speeds, 1* at high speeds................

    looks great yes.

But I Really don't see the point of the AA other than the cool factor.

If you can have the wing at angle at higher speeds you might aswell have it on lower speeds too. At low speeds it wont make hardly any difference to downforce or drag anyways, that only comes in to play at higher speeds.

and I agree with anyonebutme. if anything it should be the other way around. more downforce at lower speeds. like the koenigsegg.

sure it gives downforce. anything flat at an angle will give downforce. it's not rocket science....

thing is I don't see the point of changing the angle from low speed. might aswell stay same angle all the time.

it's just like the popup headlights of the 90's. just gizmogadgetry coolness. but really unessesary.

And here is a picture of the wing back on the car:

The wing is still fully functional which is nice since the angle of attach changes from about 1* with the wing down to 12* with the wing up.
That is some righteous work. I think the elevated height may make it more functional but I am no aeronautical engineer. Cudos to you.

    There's no replacement for displacement.

pop-ups date back to the 60's. in other words, ya'll should enjoy them at least as much as you love your frickin MTX's--because they're nearly as old.

well thanks for correction. They where popular early 90's also though.

don't get me wrong though I love pop-ups :b It'll be a rarity to see cars with it eventually.

it's a rarity now. and that's because lighting technology has changed to where aerodynamics did not have to be sacrificed in order to light a vehicle. it first started with these:

Chaparral Cars - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and when technology finally progressed from sealed beam to projector beam, that was the tipping point. with LED technology now available, i guarantee you will never again see a production automobile with pop-up lights (unless it's a replicar).
