Zero emissions - yes. Vehicle - not until it can move under its own power

Gotta start spitting out those hydrocarbons ASAP !

Progress was made last couple of nights. Got the PS pump rebuilt with a new shaft seal and about 10 O-rings. Last night I assembled the WG actuators with the Drweldin kit. I stayed with the stock springs for now. Still need to get borrow the Autozone pressure tester to set the preload.

Also got almost everything stripped in the bay so I can respray it.

Because they last so long everything ends up rotting around it? lol

I am sold on red tops, love them, mine has been far the best battery I've ever had.

Not saying impossible, but i would bet a previous battery leaked and took some time to eat thru everything...

...but either way, you got it handled now. Maybe throw one of the acid-neutralizing mats under whichever battery you run next

To be fair I abused the crap out of the red top and I guess it just decided to return the favor

I think I'm ready to compete with April for most OCD 3S owner. You know its that "while I'm in here I'll just..." mentality that keeps dragging things out. When this is all back together and running I'm taking a fricken VACATION!

Acid Neutralizing Mat - Black: BatteryMart.com
Nope, I've had this Spyder since 1999 and what you see was caused under my watch. I managed to fully discharge the red top half a dozen times when I was developing the remote top stuff. In the end the red top crapped out so bad that the car wouldn't even run after a jump start from AAA. That's when I learned how much a current draw the ABS pump has. It was like a bucking bronco - give it the slightest gas and the ABS would kick in and kill the motor. I couldn't pull the ABS fuse either without a 10mm wrench.

Thanks for the link - I just bought one
