It's me again

Been trying to sort out a small oil leak. Seemed to be between the TC and bell housing so I pulled the TC and it looks like the output shaft seal has a slow leak. There's no felt as I had lost it somehow and forgot about it when installing. Since the car isn't driven much is it possible the seal is drying out a bit without the felt in there? What would you guys do?

Not really looking to pull the trans for such a small leak. It was a brand new seal at the rebuild and didn't leak at all in the beginning.

For what it's worth I replaced that seal with the trans in the car. PITA but I was able to do it. Separated the trans from the engine as much as I could and had to cock it to one side, but then I was able to pulled the seal out and put a new one in. Did I mention it was a royal PITA

Never thought about trying that. I thought the ring gear got in the way but props to you for figuring out a way. I'm thinking maybe get the felt off a new seal and glue it on to mine. I think these seals are design to have a very slow leak and the felt absorbs it and distributes it to keep the seal lubricated since the full fluid level is below the output shaft center.

Anyway, I could be full of shit and end up pulling the transmission to replace the seal
