yeah you are
my brakes kept cracking though....on the road I don't HAVE time to plan my corners...if a car suddenly appears on me around a mountain pass...YOU HIT THE FUCKING BRAKES!
not like on the track were you have all the world to plan out your braking etc.
Yeah but you shouldn't be going that fastI drive like an ass too sometimes, it's ok haha. There's this one on ramp onto the highway that's just perfect for testing the limits of grip... I've gotten nicely sideways in everything including my girlfriend's Accord haha.
I certainly see this as an awesome upgrade, but it's not got a huge advantage over the SCE kit for normal people (yes, including those who drive like asses ha)
yeah I agree, the SCE kit is awesome
the question is, if you need more than the SCE KIT...and you don't want to spend more than 2K...what are your options? even under 3k?
This kitFor 99.9999% of 3/S drivers the SCE kit or this will be enough
ok I've checked the specs on these, and I'm officially intereted in the Cayanne Calipers. they take larger pads than the next leader up (the Audi RS4/6 calipers)
If you do go with these, let us know how you like them on a street car. My Cayenne weighs about 5000 lbs, and they are extremely grabby even for a heavy vehicle like that. So much so, that it can be difficult to come to a gradual stop without jerking your neck. I imagine it would only be worse with a lighter car.
I wish I would have saved for a Stoptech kit :/
I am still overheating the SCE wide rotors, I have XP8 pads and heat treated rotors, the slots are GONE after 3 track days, 70 degree weather, I dont get it. I bought these from a guy with a 94 VR-4 with 400 awhp (70 more than me) and he drove on his for almost a dozen days with HALF the wear I have got in 3. He was running 2 seconds a lap faster than me, too.
I forsee either a ducting system or saving for several months for a Stoptech upgrade :/
Post Script:
The performance of the brakes is fantastic, NO FADE EVER, just very accelerated wear.
