Custom Coilovers

Alright, I stepped away from the 3s scene when I sold my stealth in January of '13. I bought a GTP to daily drive for a while and the guys on the forums were huge with the custom coilover builds. I know we have ground control the sits on the spring perches but the custom ones on the gtps they cut the perch and run a 7" coilsleeve and 12" 300# springs. To build them it costs about 300 per axle to build. Want to know if anyone has tried building a set or if there would be benefits to building a pair
