I pressed out the front lower ball joints & am now waiting for the correct gaskets that I ordered (Cherry messed up the part #s by accident) & this damn winter to end so I can begin sandblasting more parts in preparation of some powder coating.

Finally got around to pulling my trans. Special thanks to Bryan (sergechronos) for helping aka doing most of the work. My participation declined when I got metal or something in my eye. BTW it’s a good idea to wear safety glasses lol. Anyway yeah it cut my eye pretty good, I thought it was still in my eye for a long time because it hurt like hell but it must have just cut it then fell out or I flushed it out. I’m going to be pulling the trans apart in the next few days and jackhammer will be checking it out for me.

I normally wear them but didn't this time. I'll have them on when I put the damn thing back in, that's for sure.

It was the least I could do Paul.

Plus I got to watch your compressor blow up. Which was amusing if momentarily terrifying.

Today for my 3S I picked up my old heads from the machine shop to sell, filed a claim with USPS for busted glass headlight covers, and sold a handful of parts to bring money in. Hopefully can order what little bits I still need/want for the engine at least

    OUCH Paul

Get Bryan to do more of the work next time

Seriously though, good to see you finally getting to that transmission. First step in getting that beast back on the road!

Lol don't be fooled. I did do most of the work under the car. Believe he was just getting the DP off. I did the rest of the work on the ground. That's what he pays me for (with beer and steak.)

His car is such a beast though that it broke the spring on the shifter

Yeah, I've just had so much crap going on that it's sort of been low on the list, also I didn't want to drive it in the winter anyway. It did feel good to get it out. I'm not sure if I can wait on Wayne to tear into it though. I'm getting excided about getting it back on the road.

Good luck finding all the pieces for a picture..

And you may want to wait..unless you feel like doing it manually without an air compressor

I'll bring it up this weekend or next (since Wayne will be traveling.) Just make sure to loop me in when you do it.
