Like the M400, but loved the M15, even more than the newer M600.

Again though, way out of price range/budget.

Honestly, more HP for the car may ruin it IMO. When I drove it, it felt perfectly balanced with power, handling and braking, although I wasn't on a track or anything to push it, but I imagine that a car like that could teach you as much about driving in a single day as a month of professional instruction with a VR4 would.

What about an old Porsche 928? It was kind of a bastardization of what Porsche normally did, but they have a decent amount of power and are definitely GT cars and can be had for a reasonable sum these days, I'd say it probably compares pretty fairly with a stock VR4.

Sunset Orange Metallic 4th gen Camaro Z28.
cloth interior, 4L80 4 speed auto with a stalled converter, LSx based motor... im in love

I tried buying one a few times, but there hard to get a hold of. people either ask $3500 and there sold in a few min or the seller asks $15,000 and four months later decides he'll let her go for $14,500... thats about the time i tell the seller hes outta his mind.

Drive one of those POS 928s and then drive any 911.

You're just visiting Europe, I've lived there for 27 years. Saying the 928 is the second best Porsche ever made is like saying the second best breakfast is fried cat shit.

I'd have a Pontiac G8. Loved those cars from Day 1 and was so sad to see them die off way too early.

For how cheap you can get a 928, they're not too shabby, definitely agree they're not in the same ballpark as the 911. Love the 997, I'd seriously sell a kidney for one.

Agreed, but would have to be one of the few that had the manual 6 speed option, which was only available like the last year or two of production. Basically a poor man's Corvette.
