    I'll take the 3rd
I should probably go ahead and fix my actuators while I'm thinking of it.

OMG IT WORKS LOLOLOL! OK, I'm going to resist the urge to post pictures and just wait to show you the finished install. I'm building the real harness now - it reuses as much factory stuff as possible (plugs right into the 6 pin ignition connector, etc). But I "bench" tested everything and started the car with the battery 15ft away in the garage, threw the cutoff switches, etc etc.

I have another surprise too. Let's just say my gauge cluster is no longer stock...

I could actually turn this into a kit but it would not be cheap.

agreed. i've been wanting to delete all that analog crap since 2006. has technology finally caught up with the idea?

I’m just not big on digital gauges, seems like needles are easier to read. I’m very interested in the rest of the setup though Justin. I’d really like to do it if it wasn’t too expensive.

Like a thousand bucks or what?

If I were you, if you don't want to make a handful of kits yourself, I would consider selling the design to a vendor like 3SX.

that's what i thought about analog watches as well. then i started relying upon one for work, and i found that digital is a lot faster. it would be even better if the digits and/or background changed colors based on input parameters (redline, etc).

Digital gauges are hit or miss for me. I hate linear tachs, or whatever you want to call them. The bar graph kind. I love ditigal speedometers.

This setup has an audible alarm and giant SHIFT NOW! light, which is pretty much all that matters to me.

For a full setup exactly like mine, that's about right. I spared no expense though. To offer as a kit, I think I could get the price down quite a bit.

Heck, just going with smaller gauge wire would save a hundred or so.

nothing says you can't use a needle readout on a digital gauge either. it's also nice to be able to choose to have a large speedo for DD and a much larger tack only for track days.
