    I can't find anything in ANY pre-2003 Mitsu ROM about an immobilizer. This includes the EVO 5/6 and DSM ROMs. Not even the EURO GTO ROM that Black Stealth hosted....

    Basically the GTO has TWO O2 sensors regardless of the model year. The guy from the UK tells me that they took a 1999 VR4 and plugged in a 1994 VR4 ECU and the car ran just fine. All of thier cars require a three plug 1st Gen ECU and all of thier cars came with TWO O2 sensors.
    JDM Have one o2 sensor before the main cat (no pre-cats). The second sensor after the cat is a temp probe to verify the function of the cat converter.

    Edit* The Aus delivered 3000gt on the other hand I am unsure of. But I'd guess it's the same.

    This is what I got from a Canadian member with a 1g that did a lot of work on his car.

    ""too inconclusive, would have to see solid evidence.

    i can garauntee you the first gens only have 1, hell the pin on the ecu isnt even used (didnt test the circuit to see if it could be like the egrt though).""

    my 2g gto only has 1 because the exhaust/downpipe is aftermarket so I can't verify

    This is correct. EVERY GTO only has 1 O2 sensor. The other is an exhaust temp sensor. The Euro spec 3000GT [uk domestic] might have 2. But if it's JDM 100% only has 1 sensor. As for Australian delived ones I wouldn't spend too much time on them as they were a strange beast. Every one sould here [92 to 97] had a 5 speed box. And only 114 of them where ever sold.

    Okay. So then to make the code work with just the rear o2, you AUS and JDM guys should use Aaron's periphery setup with bit 2 of periphery 0 disabled. You guys are going to have to verify your individual car setup before flashing.

    3000GT = everywhere else

    Only 3000GTs built for specific European (Germany, Finland, and maybe maybe the UK ) markets got immobilizers. The code is in the 23860092 ROM. I've also seen examples of pre-flash era Euro ECUs with immobilizers.

    Pretty much every US market Mitsu except the 3000GT started getting immobilizers around 1998. I pulled my immobilizer out of a 99 Diamante for example.

    It's all academic though. You can't program the thing without an MUT 2 or 3, and the keys are expensive as well.

    Has anyone been successful in using the OEM BCS with larger TD04's? I can't seem to muster anything over WG pressure.

    I had great luck with it but I also had 12psi waste gates. We need a BCS that can bleed away more air.

    I was going to try experimenting with using the purge solenoid since its a 3 port and doesn't require any resistors to be wired in with it. The plugs need to be swapped out but that is easy. Just another project that's been put on hold while I get the bugs worked out of chrome V2.
