Carpet kits do suck, I've never seen a good one fit in any vehicle properly. When I did mine, I power washed it for about two hours, scrubbed the hell out of it, then dyed it black as well, it turned out great and I saved a lot of money. Black carpet looks good with any colour interior.

Definitely dye it black. I did mine a few years ago with a boiling saltwater Rit dye mix and it has held up great! Looks just like the 98 carpet I have in the Spyder.

I think I’ll do everything black and charcoal grey. I’m going to get seat covers soon so I guess I’ll do black and grey with those.

Is the carpet still available from the dealer? I'd love to get my hands on the red floor carpet and center console side panels...

I don't know about red, but they do still have factory carpet available (Cherry Hill). I bought 95 tan color when we first got the Spyder. I warn you, the price is high if it available. But the console trim was not available, at least in tan.

The part number for the red carpet is MB776796, that is just the floor carpet though. For the console trim MB849847 (R) and MB849841 (L), and the little piece on the driver side next to the parking brake MB849853

We did the rear-seat-delete and I have wanted to get carpeting for the back ever since. Thanks for all the info, folks and Paul, for asking.

In 3s world... it would be a fortune LOL. But I found the cost didn't matter because I didn't want shitty fitment/looking aftermarket carpet. I believe the tan carpet $450 shipped, but that was over a year ago.
