I have a question. Are all of the carpet pieces on the door panel for the 1st Gens Gray? Almost every car I have seen personally have gray on the door skin? My carpet is tan. Is there a match?

All 91-95 models have gray carpet trim, no matter what color interior you had (charcoal, red, or cream/beige). 96+, the door panel carpet trim was color coded to the interior, since the door panels were color matched to the carpet/seats also. So, tan interior had tan carpet, black interior had black carpet.

I cleaned and dyed my carpet black - it looked FANTASTIC afterwards but obviously didn't match the rest of the interior. It didn't bother me though.

I was considering some real black carpet on ebay. Maybe I'll just try cleaning mine. Thanks for the tips.
I would like to have a black/gray or black/charcoal interior tho. I think I would like that color scheme a lot better than charcoal everything.

Same here. I changed the color of my interior from the tan to charcoal/dove gray. Cleaned and dyed the carpet with RIT and it looks spectacular.

Took about 3 hours of cleaning but well worth it in the end.

But that would be my first recommendation. pull the seats out, and you can clean it just fine while still in the car. Not necessary to pull it out of the car completely

Did they ever make a black factory carpet? I can't remember....
Thanks guys, I'll give this a try 1st. This interior was perfect when I got the car so maybe I can get that carpet back to 90% anyway lol

That's great! I was considering purchasing used gray carpet; this is a much better idea! Which color of gray RIT did you get and how did you do it exactly?

+1 on the carpet kit suck ass...

Got it in, and almost acceptable, but crap fitment for sure...

Oh, and someone mentioned Oxyclean. Save yourselves some serious cash if you use this product, as it is only hydrogen peroxide which can be had stupid cheap...

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!
