I have an aftermarket carpet from a 93 VR-4. It's a dark tan color and fit decent everywhere but the corners. It was bunched up in all of them. It wasn't real bad just depends how particular you want to be. I would still stick with stock. I've got about 3 full charcoal interiors.
95 RT/TT Billet TD04s E70, DW1000cc injectors, ARC-2 with 92mm maf, 3SX fuel rail loop, hotwired Walbro 416/485, 3" FMIC, single small Krank vent, DR 3.5" downpipe and cat-back, DNP 02 housings, Hallman Pro MBC, BlackStealth LCDBC, AEM wideband, AEM oil pressure, Apexi S1 coilovers with SCE EVO 8/9 adapters, 3SX adjustable control arms, Spec 3+ clutch, Maximal solids/3SX poly motor mounts, Setrab custom SMOC, stock motor 127k miles, stock drivetrain.

So I just called cherryhill looking for black carpet. They can't get them anymore. He tried other colors with no luck except red I think.

Replaced mine with a better condition used carpet. Person I bought it from had cleaned it all up, etc. If it's dirty a good steam cleaning will do wonders.

If you're dead set on black/dark (like I was), you can still get a good condition tan carpet and dye it whatever color you want. I've seen it done with very good results.

I've got a dark black aftermarket in my car, but I've got the interior partially apart to wire up a wideband and fuel pump hotwire. I'll try to get pics later this week / early next week when it's back together. Fitment is good, but not 100%. The rear corners, as mentioned, are a little off. Might be able to do them perfectly if I pulled the rear trim panels, but it's good enough for me. Nobody's ever in the back seat anyway.

Why not die a carpet that is closer to black, like gray?

I've got charcoal in mine right now, but have a true black carpet that will be going in.
