While I'm no Pats fan by any means (primarily for you guys beating us in SB37) Graham Gano mentioned that the refs check the pressure inside. Given the gas law Pressure x Volume = nRT, where R is a constant and n shouldn't change unless air has escaped, if the temps go down, either pressure or volume has to go down. If it goes from checking it at 70 degree inside, to 30 degrees, that's obviously going to change it. Now whether or not it drops it 2psi, I don't know. someone else can look up the information for that and do the math.

It wouldnt drop that much. I really think the pressure was low, intentionally. The important part now, at least to me is how they did it. If they got them through the inspection process like that then it doesn't bother me one bit. If however they actually altered them after inspection, that's just blatantly cheating. We will see.
iirc 1 balls goes to inspection. the other 11 don't.
it was 15% of the ball's PSI. a noticeable and effective difference. Bill Belicheat , Tom Brady and the Pats are cheaters plain and simple. who knows what else they've gotten away in the past that has made differences in key games. I mean there's the obvious things like "tuck rules" and spygate but what else could there be?

BB didnt make the Tuck rule, you cant put that one on him. As far as what else have they gotten away with? Tons and tons of stuff just like every team in professional sports including racing.
If they really only check one ball out of 12, that's idiotic if anyone considers the perfection of the balls to be important.
If you have small hands, then less pressure in the ball will help you grip it and get better rotation on the ball. Brady is what? 6'4 - 6'5, so small hands shouldn't be an issue. I just think that Belicheat can't go into a big game without knowing he has some kind of advantage. He won't cheat against the Tampa Bay's and Cleveland Browns of the NFL, but he feels like he needs an advantage against the better teams.

I'm pretty sure they didn't cheat against KC because they were overconfident. 41-14 baby.
p.s.
if my knowledge of boyle's law is correct, the maximum pressure drop would have been about .75 psi from temperature, not 2+ psi.
How did I spin it? I said they have cheated tons of times. What team hasnt?
