It has to do with the beginning of the thread where people were comparing sohc and dohc intake manifolds and the original poster started talking about a 6g73 2.5L sohc (24 valve) intake manifold and some people giving advice did not understand that. The 24 valve intake manifolds look similar SOHC and DOHC. 12 valves (2 valves per cylinder) have smaller intake ports because 2 valve engines use smaller intake ports for the same displacement. The actual choice of intake port size is based on valve size (an number of valves).

What about the injectors? I still think there are large gains to be made with a really good intake manifold. RPW already proved that and my current n/a setup has a VE fuel demand that doesn't drop off like you would expect above 6000 rpms even with stock cams/heads/exhaust manifolds. I was really hoping to get on the dyno to prove it.

I haven't got a lock on the injector sizing, however, I am shooting for 1000CC+ injectors. I have the Adjustable FPR so I am hoping to push more fuel pressure at the rails than stock. I still have to get an answer on what fuel pump setup I am going with to keep up. I may need to move to a larger intake manifold when I start seeing limitations in the powerband. For now, I am going to go with the stock manifold since I have it ready to go and then when I can, switch the intake manifold out with something bigger and custom.

The exhaust manifolds are where I am stuck at currently which will be a few weeks of fab work to get working.

OMG those are horrible; replace them immediately with Powerstop Cross Drilled/Slotted rotors and pads all the way around from Rock Auto!

    Do. It. Now.

Well let's see here. I got what I think is a lot, but most here would say otherwise, but alas, here's the rundown:

Front rotors are installed on the hub.

I screwed up a caliper, so I have two Centric calipers on the way. I wasted a lot of time trying to salvage the old calipers by cleaning them up and painting them, turns out, I probably should have scrapped them to begin with.

CV axles are pulled out of the transmission.

Engine will get pulled soon, just unbolt the motor mounts and lift it out, salvage some good parts off the old engine and then do some wiring and then drop the new engine in and wire it up.

800CC injectors are on the way (Thanks Coopkill!)

The following is on it's way also:
    Fuel Pump hotwire Kit
    Transmission bolts
    Transmission dowel pins
    FuelLab fuel filter Standard length
    Fuel Line Adapter Fitting AN6
    AEM Fuel Pump 320LPH
SS Braided PTFE Teflon fuel line
Bulkhead fittings and additional fuel line fittings to complete fuel system

I was looking for 1000CC injectors, but after calculating my goals and what fuel I will primarily be running, these injectors give me plenty of room tuning and I may just run straight pump since E85 is not very popular in my state.

    Painted new front calipers black
Painted rear calipers black after cleaning them up
Have to send back brand new front rotors because the runout is 1/4 inch and wavy
Have to send rear brake pads back as they fit turbo model and not NA model
Have to send back caliper cores.

Been awhile since I have updated:

Installed the 3SX inverted flare for the fuel lines:

Rough mock-up of heat exchanger and oil cooler with lines:

Mock up of thermostatic oil filter sandwich plate and lines:

Fuel pump and fuel hat assembled with hotwire relay ready to go:

New Fuel Filter and lines run:

Inverted Flare fitting for stock line to AN-6 and new line run for fuel filter:

Waiting on the last round of fittings to arrive.

Also Rock Auto sent another set of Powerstop front rotors and pads, I checked the warping and it still exists even on the new set:

So I am sending all of the powerstop stuff back and getting my money back so I can rest assured that I get better rotors/pads.
