I'm never disappointed checking out this thread. You never realize how many parts there are until you try and coat them all lol. Your patience is incredible.

Your oil feed & return lines look great!! I will tell you that it's an absolute PITA if you try to get the rear return line installed with the engine still in the car...My nicely powdered one now has some battle scars from the slight wrestling that occurred.

Lol, that is exactly why I thought I couldn't edit my posts. Get on the transmission issue. It only seems like a PITA until you actually start on the project.
Thanks, you should see the shelf of parts I still have to do... My old "plan" was to have them finished 4 months ago, the new "plan was to have them all done by the end of September. Oh well. Now I am aiming to have them all done by the end of this year.
Appreciate it, I absolutely plan on doing as much as I can to the engine before I drop it in the car. I'll say it again, you should really do a build thread. We seem to be doing the same things so I would love to see how someone else is handling everything.

Finally got the bolts dropped of at the plater today. I am tired of waiting for the last bolts I need from a deadbeat seller on 3si. It's been a month since I sent the payment and nothing but excuses. For those curious, every single nut, bolt, washer, screw, spring and metal clip in our car weight about 83lbs all together. Can't wait to get them back but he said it probably won't be until next week. Also, I was somewhat suprised about the price. I called every plater within 2 hours of here and nowhere did I find prices anywhere near what I have seen other members get. I believe GTWizard mentioned he dropped his whole lot off including a bunch of brackets and paid like $40. My bill is going to be upwards of $240 and I had to exclude the stuff that would have to be rack plated as it would have been another $100. I'll post some pictures when I get them back. I will have to dig the ones out I need to get the subframes put back together to have a rolling chassis again so I can get the car on an trailer to move.
Speaking of moving, we just recently looked at a house with a 4 car garage. It had the standard 2/1 split garage doors on the front but it had an extra parking space and 1 car car garage door on the back of the house with another driveway in the fenced backyard. It would have been an amazing garage upgrade. We showed up at 5:30, the people who got there at 5:00 signed the papers before we even got to walk through the actual house. Now every house we look at with a standard 2 car garage is just depressing in comparison. The search for a new home continues, but I feel that garage was a one-time find for a rental home.
Well the move was successful, I got the fasteners back a couple of days before we had to be out of the house and I got the car put back together enough to get it on a tow truck. What a pain in the ass. The new garage is still a mess, nothing is setup. Only have one update to contribute to this thread: the bolts. 99% of them look great, really happy with them. I found several that still have some rust on them, they got stuck together during the plating process and some spots were missed, but no big deal really.
Here are some pics in no particular order.

I can't start back on the car yet because we are still getting the new house together. Stay tuned for updates sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Damn those are nice.
Great job! Exactly what I went through a few months back. Takes at least a few solid hours to sort them out. I have ~50 pictures of where they go if you run into any trouble![]()
Pure win right thar!
Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

I just realized that I never did show any after photos of what that same valve cover I filled with High-Temp Lab Metal looked like after I powdered it. I did take the easier route and went with the OEM black wrinkle finish, but it turned out looking very nice.
