also true. religion is a scapegoat for doing horrific acts of all kinds. one more piece of evidence pointing to "humans are inherently evil". as has been stated many times before, no one goes to war over atheism.

They are one in the same. Religion is just a mob that relate to the same ideals. This is a word used to describe a singular humanity split in secular groups.

If you view religion as a mob, then obviously you have a distaste for it. Be that as it may, all religions aren't hateful warmongers like you would like us to believe.

I believe people can make their own choices, believe whatever they want to and live however they like as long as its not infringing on others freedoms. I am myself religious, which one is a mystery. I do not claim any denomination because it would be associating myself with what they believe.

Not all religious people want to cleanse the earth of evil and convert everyone to their religion. I myself find I Learn a lot from diversity.

Look into the definition of Mob, and where is it I said all religion is warmongering? There are far more wars fought in the name of religion than anything else. This was the point of my statement for you to read up on history. I would only have you believe the facts.

You by your own definition have faith, not religion. Religion historically pushes views on its masses, faith on the other hand is come upon by oneself.

I think you're arguing semantics, Bill. I myself would maintain that the concept is indeed being religious, not having faith. I base this upon the idea that in order for man to have morality, something must be sacred; and in order for something to be sacred, one must be religious.

Having faith, on the other hand, is a prevailing belief in someTHING. Such a belief does not imply one is also religious. I, for example, have faith that about half of 3sgto would like to kick my ass (which may or may not be true). In either event, there is no implication of something being rendered sacred.
