Clutch arrived. Went with XTD Stage 3 after seeing some positive reviews.

    I can tell lol

I'm aware Chris owns slicks, and pretty obvious from the vid anyway. I'm talking about the inch of rubber he just burnt off the back (I know it wasn't an inch :sarcasm. Rotate, rinse and repeat.

My rear rotors are the same direction as his. Only ones I've seen recommended that way were $40 corvette ones my friend picked up. I have researched /obsessed about it for a while and the consensus is the other way but also very minimal difference. I will turn them around when I have them apart next time but in no hurry.

*Ohhhh, you were serious? I got these from another member a while back. He had never used them and not sure where he got them from.
I always see them this way. And in my mind it seems like it would repel brake dust better (although my pads aren't supposed to leave much) and redirect the heat outwards instead of inward.

Other way give more friction and better stopping? Also shorter life?

I loved my xtd stage 3. 0 issues with it other than it "over heating" when I have it serious hell.

I have nothing bad to say about it with the amount of abuse I gave it.

That's what I keep hearing. It was between the xtd or the rps maxx and I figured I'd give the Xtd a try before dropping $800 on a clutch/pressure plate. How much power are you making? And have you done many launches on the xtd?

I was sort of pulling your leg. Most people put them that way if it's not labeled on the rotor but mainly because it looks better. Like Nathan said it can depend on the manufacturer. It can depend on the cooling veins being directional. The slots themselves don’t appear to really make a big difference what way they go. I’ve found no real hard evidence anyway, only people claiming that’s the way they should go.

    See link

How to properly install plain, slotted, or drilled brake rotors

I was BPU. I dynoed like 280 or something slow.

But, I put that clutch through atleast a hundred launches, a handful of track passes too.

I drumped that thing from 5-6k all the time. I have it sitting on my block, I should take it apart and post pictures of what it looks like, as I am curious too. I haven't taken the pressure plate off of that old setup yet.
