was looking for a set in mint or near mint condition, there were none for a few weeks and then suddenly multiple sets became available in varying conditions.

saw this set and pounced, was willing to spend up to $800 shipped or delivered for a mint/near mint set but got these for $550 shipped to my shop.

if your car isn't blue or another color that you think might work well with the evo 8 seats, i'd recommend looking at the cloth evo x seats.

modified the stock evo 8 rails to work. took fairly extensive modification including cutting and welding both brackets for each seat in order to work with factory mounting locations.

position is nearly identical to stock, seat height is very close and does allow me to wear a helmet for those rare occasions i go to the track. this was part of the reason the brackets took extensive modification, i was going for factory fitment.

at some point i may reinstall my old seats for a side by side comparison and to show the bracket modifications required for the evo 8's. motivation can be hard to come by sometimes however here's a comparison in the meantime:

Buttoned up the rear wiper motor, installed and tested. I finally have a rear working wiper...stealth MOD even.

Now to paint that rear arm and maybe get the flat black under the spoiler painted.

With this complete that makes the active exhaust the only thing not working on my car, and that is only because I don't have the factory cat back.
