Thanks everybody for chiming in to help me out. I have a 92 stealth TT with a 98 montero ecu with correct knock circuitry added (purchased from a board member who used it with no problems with a stock 99vr4 flash).

The car has not run in almost a year, so I believe the old gas has taken it's toll. I'm mailing the injectors off tomorrow to get cleaned and flow tested as I believe that is the source of my problems. Thanks again for all of the help, and even though I never got the car properly running, I am seriously happy with the swap from the arc-2, and excited to play with the WOT tune when that time comes.

You either didn't have the right version of the ARC-2, didn't wire the yellow wire to switched +12V, or didn't understand how to tune it because I've never had problems. I tuned another one recently in 15 minutes from first startup monitoring only knock and the spark plugs since the 02 and fuel trim readings were not correct due to datalogger settings or ground as far as I can tell. That said I have a flashed ECU and can't wait to use it. I may pair it with an EVO MAF or just keep the ARC-2 installed for the MAF upgrade.

I am. Thanks again for all the work you've put into this.

I haven't hooked up evoscan yet but is there anything I need to do to the data.xml file to make it read a gm 3 bar mas sensor from Egrt/pin 92?

I don't have a setting yet in EVOscan to log the GM sensor but I can figure it out tonight.

I had my arc-2 running just fine. You misunderstood, the car wasn't down for a year due to the arc-2 it was actually the stock ecu that crapped out on me. It would have been an easy fix, but I just got fed up with the car for a while. That being said, no matter how simple the arc-2 is, it is far from perfect, and the flashed ecu is a huge upgrade in my opinion.

Where are your O2/s located exactly? are they wb or nb? I am asking because I have seen something similar happen on a similar ECU. It may not be your injectors.

Hey since were on the topic of MAF sensors etc...whats the verdict on whats the optimal setup to use with a flash setup?

Im really leaning towards the EVO 8 MAF because of a few reasons: stock driveability, stock location/hassle free/clean install/capable of much more HZ than the stocker, etc...the only downside ive seen is that it doesn't help with spool-up much.

Is this the best option or are the blow-thru setups the way to go? Lets get some info together...

In my experience if you're running pump gas stick with the stock MAF. The HP levels achieved with pump are still within the limits of the stock MAF. I have also had good luck running a hacked stock MAF in my previous 99.

I'm going to be testing a MAFT in the 98 very soon. Just waiting for the right time to meet up with Hans and get some dyno time. Probably the end of March. I'll be tuning an ARC 2 on a customer car this spring as well.

Ive got upgraded turbo's(19T) and a built motor and heads. Ill be running pump gas...but not for too much longer. e85 and 20+lbs of boost are what I'm thinking...

Real quickly, whats the benefit of hacking the stock MAF?

Keep us posted. It would be great to test the various types of Intake Metering systems and see which one works best for what application...
