It doesn't matter. He shortened a short throw and all he did was make it harder to shift. Some kid did that same shit to a shifter that came in one of my brother's Neons. The thing was notchy as fuck and hard to shift. He thought the synchros were going bad. Ended up putting a normal short throw in and the difference was night and day. It shifted smooth as silk. So I repeat he accomplished nothing.

LOL it feels the same to me. If u saw my shiftknob ud understand that it has good weight to it so it probably makes a big difference. Car shifts with ease. I like the feeling of a somewhat tight gear box...one thing I like about the rx8s. The shifting is perfect not too buttery not too bolt action rifle feeling just. . Perfect. I also noticed since the additions of the bushings I made 3rd has been a lot better to shift into. New trans on the way..

Drove it to work. Lowered my idle a little bit. Drove it to get some cheeseburgers. Thought about venting the bov. Looked in the trunk for my scanmaster logging cable.

Started to get the crazy idea to polish the TB since I have it apart but quickly realized this was the last damn thing I wanted to polish on the car. Screw that!

A VR4 a buddy of mine bought had the stock shifter but the height had been chopped down to almost level with the center console. It was a PITA the shift.
