MAFT draw thru vs blow thru. Help me decide.

I recently dynod at the TX2K10 and got 471awhp missing the13T record by 1.
My injectors maxed out and so turning up boost only made it worse. So I'm going to turn up the fuel pressure to insure I can break the record. However, I'm considering going blow thru as well.

So advantages and disadvantages of both systems.

I know draw through is affected by boost leaks and my intake pipe could come off and I could have serious problems. (it's happened)

Blow thru will clean up the engine bay some.

Is it worth going blow thru?

Nice HP Mike, I say go blow through. I'll be doing it after NG and I don't want to compete against you with that HP on stock mas. lol

Excuse my ignorance here but what is required to make a blow thru setup as reliable as having a maf? For tuning purposes I mean. Do you need to have at absolute least a piggyback that you'd have to punch in specs for specific airflows? I really have no idea how they work w/o a maf lol, sorry to slightly thread jack.

    Blow thru

All gains and losses aside, you hear your turbos like F-18s, bro.

    And that's awesome.

The simplest way is probably like I have. MAFT for base correction (converts the MAF signal into something the ecu can relate to and makes adjustments for larger injectors) Then I use an SAFC to tune with. The only driveability difference I've noticed over stock maf is that the car doesn't want you to give it much gas before it warms up, it wants to fall on it's face. Once it's warm it's just like normal only more power. I don't know if everyone experiences the cold engine issue or not.

I think I can get over 500 our of her. That was on my first pull and I don't think my rough, no log, scanmaster, street tune could have left me with no room for improvement. I have an hour free dyno time and just want to have everything as good as possible before I use it.

I was a bit surprised you didn't have a blow through last year but yeah I'd do it. I sold my stuff because I was going to go AEM (speed density) but now I plan on going blow through again.

Dang man, those are some good numbers. I like blow-through for MAF-based stuff but I'm not sure I'd mess with that setup.
