Did the GTO have a 13g turbo option?

I REALLY want info and pics on the AP Racing brakes that were available. AP Racing claims they never made "OEM" parts, and that they were likely modified WRC brakes.

My mirrors are not power folding however they are heated. The BBS wheels are options only. MR had standard turbos.

Its amazing how much false information gets passed around that needs corrected.

I thought by now everyone knew MR's had 9b's? I'm suprised people aren't still saying they were mid engine rwd.

i guess only the MR did not have 4ws

Some of the NA GTO's were also Z15 and therefor had no AWS. The 95-96 Stealth TT's were also a Z15 chassis.

the mr did come with 11g's, there was a thread while back in the ausie forum someone showing it, i cant find it for the life of me. maybe someone with a mr can do a quick check for me?

You probably can't find it because MR's came with 9b's. 9b was the stock turbo on ALL GTO's and the only optional turbo was the 13g on some Euro Spec 3000GT's.

i always thought they came standard and ppl didnt like them so they swapped them out. i do see them on the catalogue as an option. i need clarification on this...again someone with an mr please chime in.
what years were the knob and hybrid lsd optional on? im pretty sure they are only on mr's. any proof?

interesting, so it was 99 they got rid of them.

Not sure about GTO's but 3000GT's and Stealths dropped active exhaust in 96 if memory serves. The thing to remember though is years are screwy across the pond.

i figured this one. im confused though you say all gto have it yet z15 does not? i thought it came on all of them just not the mr?

He never said all GTO's came with it. All Z16 came with it.

im positive on this one, we have got 4 of the first gens here and none of them have power folding. they came later

yup all of em do, press the defrost button on the climate control. later years had their own button.

best motoring did a video where they compared the stock brakes to the ap. stock brakes faded after 13 hard stops where the ap went on for quite a while longer. im having a hard time finding that video. its the same episode they did a drag race between the gto and the mr side by side.

this is the whole reason im trying to write this up. rather than people bashing it would be helpful if they contributed. and not i herd so and so say...i want proof (as in my car has etc.)
im ignoring info from USDM unless they have touched a JDM in person. the one australian member that pulled his turbos off his MR had a 13g looking turbo, but smaller. he ran the numbers and it turns out to be an 11g. his car was completely stock. soon as i find the thread i will put it up. i cant say 100% it wasnt an option but i wont know until i get more mr owners speaking up.

I contacted with MITSUBISHI Japan.

The 11G was installed in GTO MR with AP Racing 6Pot Calipers, and Hybrid LSD model.

The "SAITAMA," and "DOUOU" Interstate Police have a few GTO MR as cop cars. These also have 11G's.

MITSUBISHI RALLIART did use 13G hybrid for GTO N1. The 11G was installed some of GTO MR's in order to meet N1 race regulation.

N1 race cars must use OEM parts. Since some GTO MR had 11G, the 13G was considered as OEM.

Rest of Twin Turbo Models have 9Bs in Japan.

I am sorry to confuse some of you in this post.

I posted some instruction months back on how to install CAPS/ASA on your computer. You can install JDM, USDM and Euro version. You can then search using a vin number and check specs. This is how I know MRs did not have BBS standard. All the MR vins I have run have had standard wheels. I am yet to see BBS on any of them. Can't comment on the turbos as I haven't looked into that.
