Did the GTO have a 13g turbo option?

I just wanted to clarify something. I have heard that the Mitsubihi GTO had an option to have 13g turbos instead of 9b turbos from the factory in some parts of the world. I know the 3000GT didn't, but I am pretty sure that the Evo 8 or 9 was available with a better turbo option in parts of the world other than the US, such as in Britian. So maybe the GTO got similar treatment? Can anyone conform this?

Yes. Some European models had that option.

No GTO had a 13g option. Only some Euro spec 3000GT's did.

It was called the "Mitsubishi Sport Turbo Upgrade".

Imagine if they shipped all of them like that with 550cc injectors and denso pump like the supra had? Could have been a beast from the factory even by today's standards.

Off topic a bit but news to me I just found out there was a AWD non turbo GTO in Japan .. Anyone know anything more about it ??? Known as the SR .. Was it basically just a AWD SL ???
