Mine lifts about 1/2"... and I get a light. The e brake handle has about 2" of play in it before the first click though. Here's a street pull with some lazy shifting but you get the point.

I've had loosey-goosey e-brake handles before, but have still never had one lift up on me.... Have all of you with "ebrake handles lifting" checked your brake fluid, and tried it again?
Circa 2005... Oh my, how far I've come

Mine lifted up and landed in a dumpster, but i may have helped it get there

But no, there is no way the e-brake handle will ever lift up. It if does it may go up a click or two it the cables are adjusted very loose, but it will not ever engage the e-brake at all.

yeah the thing is the dash light will come on with 1 or 2 clicks. The handle can easily be that loose and still hold the car when fully applied.

the e-brake has potential to move up 1 or 2 clicks... MAYBE 3.. depending on how fast your car is.

the G-force of you launching pushes it back

I'd like to hear Ray or Matt chime in on whether their e-brake has ever lifted up during a launch. I know Ray's windshield wipers used to come on when he launched his old GVR4

I love when that happens, got that a few times this year, even smashed it into 2nd once and had them come on.
