hopefully jeff will swap out my order of supra's for these. i just hope the noise isn't too severe. if i can get two of these running at 1/2 the decibels of 1 walbro, i'll be happy.

At $120 and 340lph, I *really* want to see a real-world bench test on how this works. And compared to those "kyosan" pumps that were supposed to be uber-leet, but flowed between a stock pump and a walbro, yet claimed outrageous flow specs.
I took the kyosan to aeromotive to have it tested. The Aeromotive guy was kind enough to show me their flow bench/testing area ... I'd believe these claims if this data was found on aeromotive's website.

I'd live the option of e85 once it comes to Corpus Christi.

Other than the pump what do you have to change?

Yup the graph and all the info is from Aeromotive. Since they are a testing facility, I would suspect those graphs are spot on.

Typical additions that accompany a fuel pump mod are a resistor bypass and/or an after market FPR. However, this is not a pump which requires a hot wire. It's plug and play and designed for stock wiring and therefore should not require any of those upgrades. Well within the limits of the AMP vs Length vs Wire Gauge of the stock wiring.

If you read any of the forums that Aeromotive posted in, the MSRP of the pump is supposed to be around $170. IPS having it for $145 is not a bad deal. This flows almost exactly the same as the new DW 300 pump at 13.5 volts and it has been good for 600whp on an Evo on E85. Your mileage may vary depending on voltage, base pressure, and boost pressure.

edit: The aeromotive pump was tested to only 500whp on E85 but the guys dynoing it were too dumb to realize that their injectors were too small and that upping the fuel pressure only hindered the output of the pump.

I think I will be getting ONE of these to run e85 for now. On paper... I probably won't have more power than I am currently on pump gas (421awhp) but it should be safer. I'll add a second later

    With the pump maxxed out..
    340LPH would be ~5667cc/mm
which would be enough for 945cc/min for 6 injectors (@ 100% IDC)..

So if you wanted to run the pump balls to the walls all the time you could use 1200cc/min injectors at ~78% IDC... that'd make for a pretty badass setup..

EDIT: THIS MATH IS CORRECT IF WE LIVED IN A PERFECT WORLD AND THERE IS ZERO RESTRICTION IN THE FUEL LINES AND WE COULD GET ALL OF THE 340LPH TO THE INJECTORS

I assume with that much fuel you would still need to upgrade to larger feed lines, fuel rails, filter, and all that good stuff too?

if you wanted to run e85/95 on 1200cc+ injectors, you should probably just run -10an lines or something.

I run E95M5 and 160lb injs using 4 pumps and -8an. Many people over size their fuel lines.
