Haha. The LSD isn't even in the car at the moment. I just threw another trans in after I shredded 2nd gear. I was just too lazy to change my sig. I still have the LSD, its just in the other trans.

I'll definitely buy the car back. I'd buy something else with the money from insurance and I'll probably put the Stealth under a cover until at least spring and make it a project to bring it back to its former glory.

BTW, the body shop called today and left a vm on my house phone. I've been trying to call them back to no avail. If I don't get an answer tonight I'll just have to wait til tomorrow to find out what they wanted.

OK, so I got ahold of the shop. It doesn't sound like good news. The guy said from the info he gave State Farm that they told him to kick it out of the "Service First" program and they were going to send an adjuster over to look at it. To me, this does not sound like good news.

With State Farm they have their "preferred" shops. These are shops they work directly with and payment/billing is done through them. Now instead of letting the shop handle everything, they are going to send their own adjustor out to look at the damages and do an estimate.

To me it seems that if everything was going to be ok that the shop would have been allowed to procede with repairs. The fact that State Farm wants to take a look at it themselves seems boding to me.

Whatever you do, dont except their first offer. They are hoping they can offer you $1000 for the car and the problem will go away. Then they will say you cant keep the car because they want to auction it off to recover some of their money.

Oh, I already have a number in my head. I have receipts for what it would take to "recreate" the car. I know its going to end up being a battle, but if they come close to what I want then we will see.

Also I doubt they would want to keep the car. They'll probably basically "give" it back to me.

Damn, and I thought KBB lowballed the hell out of us. My front bumper and coilovers are worth more than what NADA is saying the whole thing is worth.
