On the under side of the "side mount opening" its all busted up, plus the crack on the side of the bumper. They aren't going to be able to match the paint so I don't know whats going to happen there. I just hope they don't try to total it, especially over something so small.

I did way more to my Stealth when it fell off my jack stands, if you had full coverage you should be fine.

Consider yourself fortunate. A guy near my parents had a tire fly out of the bed of a truck and kill him. Left a family with 3 children. It sucks but at least your alive and well

Well, the car is on its way to the shop. Hopefully I will know something in the next few days.

Well, I talked to the shop today. They have to talk to the State Farm rep tomorrow to find out if they are going to consider the engine a loss or not.

My gut tells me if they consider the engine a loss that the car is going to be totalled. I'll have to wait and see though.

What's wrong with the engine to consider it a loss? But yeah, I'd say if the engine is toast that'll total it alone.

The fact that it was run out of oil. I told the guy I didnt let it run that long, but the decision really lies in the hands of the State Farm rep. He said they may just look to replace the pan.

I'll keep you guys up to date as I find out more.

Ah, so the damage under there is just the pan itself? Block or anything important like that fine?

I dont even know. It may be just the pan or oil filter. The rep may decide they dont want to buy an oil pan or whatever and chance the engine still being damaged, then theyd have to buy an engine too, if the cost doesn't total the car.

Everything is just speculation right now.
