Yesterday I finally disassembled my front coil overs to measure the pillow ball for replacement, been procrastinating that for over a year. Easy to do though when the car isn't running
I'm probably going to tear my short block back down this weekend to inspect stuff and make sure its all good.

Mine was already scratched badly so I was not worried. It needed to be replaced anyways.

My vr4 is on the lift right now. Both oil return lines are leaking where they meet the oil pan again. Last time I used black RTV and new mitsu gaskets. I may try some threebond this time. And my rear pinion seal is leaking:/
But on a positive note my ls2 rx7 started up fine.
Broke the wife's ATX TT in March so bought her a new toy yesterday till I find time to replace HG's on it. Driving home the brake judder was borderline lethal !!! Calipers all seized up and discs truly buggered .... Thankfully I had some spare discs, pads and calipers in the garage

I see I'm about a month late, but I'll comment anyway...Tore into my front tt head and found one cam journal was gouged/ scored.
Can the head be saved? I have some 92 TT cams to swap in.
The biggest concern would be what the heck got in there and caused that, and is there any more floating around...? Since you need to scatter and thoroughly clean everything at this point anyway, I would knock the high spots off that scoring in the head, polish it up a bit, and see how it looked. If it's not bad enough that I would be afraid of it causing a loss of oil pressure in that area, I would flip the heads front to back, and run that journal on the back of the cam where it would have next to no load on it...
