Bryan, next time you get a ride, I hope to make a believer out of you for going clutch-less, even in the twisties
Looking forward to it..will be out that direction in late June/early July..both for NG and my sister in Kentucky should be due then.

Coating the subframe stuff still, hard to do much with the work going on here.

Did spend some time working on filling in spots on the engine bay. Going try to shave and smooth it with all the other deletes I've of going on.

Hope you aren't using body filler for holes. It will eventually crack.

Not for holes, just the tiny dimples where spot welds are, and at the transitions between pieces to smooth it a bit and see how I feel about the look before I put in the labor to do it in metal. Actual holes will be filled in, likely with actual welding but may go for an epoxy since it's non structural.

After letting it dry and sanding it smoother, I'm on the fence. Would be quite a bit of labor to fill everything in with a welder and smooth in, but I think that making sheet metal panels to cover would be just as (if not more) difficult. Going to have to think about it some. I do like the way that the sides of the bay look with the grooves and shit filled in.

    Because race car?

Surprisingly, after Sunday I don't go back to work until the 26th. Have folks coming into town on the 23rd and 24th, but I should have most of the 22nd and the 25th free to work on the car stuff. The rear subframe is coated and can be installed once I'm done with my poly bushings for the rear subframe to body. Still need to break down the trailing arms to coat them and try to make a new bushing for the front of the arms (not high priority though since they should be relatively easy to do later on without dropping the whole thing again.)

Have a handful of new tools that should arrive today for the rewiring side of it. Dash has been pulled and will be moved inside for that project once the rear end is back together.

It's been 9 days since anyone has posted in this thread..Good grief.

Today I got some stuff shipped out, some more stuff packaged up. Went outside and looked at the car, hit the coated subframe with a hammer which produced a very small chip. Consider me relatively satisfied with it at this point, but when the car is rolling is going to be the real test. Spent some time doing more poly bushings, but pretty much in a holding pattern until I get more money in. At this point, thinking I'm pretty much just going to run a tap through every hole for the car that has had coating done, and run a die over every stud. Still need to do my AWS delete and coat the trailing arms, but that would let me reassemble the rear end of the car. Still have to complete the coating for the underside and the engine bay, but I'd like to do that soon so that I can put my suspension and body stuff back on and roll the car out of the garage. Give me much more room to work and so long as the car *looks* like it'd be in running shape, landlord said she doesn't mind. Just can't be missing body parts or be on jackstands.
