Better not to rush it I think

So, before I get myself completely nasty working under the car again removing that shit, I've decided I'm going to get some painters coveralls with a hood, which when coupled with my face shield should provide full protection against this rubbery shit once it gets knocked off (as it is very very ahrd to wash off.) I have even contemplated using aircraft stripper on the under side of the car, I will likely pick some up for the control arms and subframes anyhow.

Suffice to say, I wish that I had a way to get this onto a rotisserie and media blasted. Given how much work this has been, I'm even on the fence about putting down Lizardskin or similar first so that I never have to do this again.

Picked up some more tools and stuff from Harbor Freight today..$80. Don't tell the ol' ball and chain

Also, recorded brief demo videos of the front bushing replacements which I will be uploading to my build thread later.

I'm mocking up lower seat rails for my corbeaus. The corbeau sliders go too far forward, don't go back far enough, and sit a little high for my taste.

Shortblock is mostly back together, needing to be actually torqued to spec (right now i just have it in there and bolted together at about 10ftlb so that I can turn it over as necessary) but I got the parts off of my shelf as I'm running out of room in my parts room. Going to throw the heads and put the timing components on to degree the cams properly if it stays cold through the weekend. Unfortunately, it's cold enough that I can't do the engine block coating outside, and I don't particularly want a ton of fumes in the house, so I'm at an impasse. Can't grind under the car either unfortunately as the full body suit that I'm waiting on allegedly won't be here until around the 11th-13th despite 2 day shipping from Amazon. No me gusta.

For now, just reading over the effects of windage trays (there was a thread on here about it even but I didn't want to necro it) and debating if it's worth it when I build the 4 bolt.

Messed around with my Chrome and Arc2 w/ 92mm MAF combination today. I decided to set the battery latencies for my pte 550cc injectors but leave the injector size stock in chrome. Modified the MAF size by a factor of 1.53 to around ~440 to compensate for the injectors and removed some trim from the coolant warm up tables. Dialed the Arc2 in for low and mid trims as close to ~0 as possible. Set the Trim range a little lower Hz wise for the Low/Mid fuel trim transition, so the mid doesn't mess with idle, just cruise. Finally started some WOT pulls here and there. Dialed back the fuel on the High knob on the Arc2 from full positive to a safe ~11.5 or so. No knock and proper load values with the piggyback. So happy, I'll probably take it out and go for another drive today and do some more logging.
