Not a huge deal, I was only looking for my results post. It is missing. Or this computer is loco.

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

INTP. pretty much explains why stealthee and i don't get along.

also, INTP has an EXTREMELY low tolerance for stupidity. just in case you didn't already know that about me.

on a related note, INTP's are great for strategy and think tanks. we hate mundane tasks and prefer the "little details" left up to others. So working on a 3/s will never be a forte of mine. Wish I'd had THAT epiphany about $40,000 ago.

Retook the test via the other site, different outcome. I think it's down to the specific wording of the questions, as a couple of the questions were meant to extract the same response but by wording them differently I answered differently. In any case I think it's all BS, because depending on the situation it will swing all ways. Do I prefer to "wing it" or plan it out? depends on what I'm doing. If I'm building a truss system to support a house I don't wing it. If I'm using a sledge hammer to straighten a bent control arm on a crashed rally car in service with the clock ticking, planning kinda goes out the window and you just hit it and go with it. The only thing that is constant is I don't rely on emotion for, well, anything.

I reject the implication that Introversion is a personality disorder, or that it is something that needs to be "fixed". It just so happens that introverts, unlike extroverts, have the ability to let thoughts stew a bit before unleashing them upon the world.

Here's a great case study: INFJs, for example, are commonly known as the champions of moral causes. INFJs 'feel' injustice against other humans, animals or sometimes inanimate objects like ecosystems. Mahatma Gandhi, Jane Goodall and Eleanor Roosevelt to name a few.

Also interesting to note is the statistically noteworthy appearance of true psychopaths in leadership. Executive Psychopaths - Harvard Business Review
Introverts are not "dysfunctional". In fact, many of the most successful CEO's in the world are very introverted. That's not to say that they can't interact well with others--it's just for them, it's simply a means to an end. Company presidents should be the extroverted, baby-kissing types...but the CEO's should be focused on the comapny--and often times that means that an introvert has more time to focus on the nuances thereof--rather than rubbing elbows with others.

And yes, "business psychopaths" are everywhere. And quite a number of them are women, imho. Don't misunderstand that as sexism. My personal experience has been one where women tend to prey upon each other--trying to claw their way upwards. Of course, this doesn't apply to all women. I will assert that it is my belief that--based as a percentage of the work environment--women tend to manifest more "psychos" per capita than men.

What intrigues me is why women--who have historically felt that "men" are keeping them imprisoned beneath the "glass ceiling", tend to turn on each other. Meanwhile, blacks who feel that "the man" is keeping them down, tend to hurl that resentment right back in the face of their alleged "oppressors" via reverse racism/discrimination. Two drastically different reactions to what is essentially the same stimuli.

shocking how many J's there are, and how few P's there are. i'm also mortified by the F's we have--which isn't too surprising considering my heavily-objectivist-influenced philosophy.

Are you a judgmental person, or do you prefer to give people the 'benefit of the doubt'?

That's really a key difference between the ISTJs and ISTPs that I've met in real life. ISTPs will judge someone but end the conversation with "Well, as long as they are happy wearing sweatpants and a wifebeater in public then I'm happy."
