Yeah, I used to wire wheel all my parts and I will NEVER go back, lol. That cabinet is from harbor freight originally, but I found it on craigslist for $75. I sealed all the seams with caulk and made a dust collector out of a household vacuum and a 5 gallon bucket filled with an inch of water to trap media before it goes into the vacuum. I recently sat a fish tank light on top of the glass to see better. Took a lot of fine tuning, but now it works great.

Haha... Been there done that with the wire wheel. I have a blaster but it's just the siphon type. A cabinet and a hopper type would be a huge improvement.

Thanks, I am using the $45 craftsman powder coating gun lol. I bought a more expensive gun and had problems shooting powder into faraday areas(crevasses) so I sold it. The craftsman gun isn't perfect with the faraday areas either but I have a technique to make it work good enough. From what I have researched, the guns from the $50 to $400 range all offer about the same results. The guns past that price range offer alot more features: different tips, fluidized hoppers, faraday boards, free ion collectors, ect, but its all $$$ and I'm on a really tight budget.

Wow, props on using an even cheaper gun than most (& still achieving the results that you have)!! I've got an Eastwood dual-voltage gun that I picked up this past year, but am still piecing together a complete system (down to just needing a good air line desiccant filter)...

After seeing your results, I cannot wait to begin using mine!!
