Churches and religious organizations are generally exempt from income tax and receive other favorable treatment under the tax law; however, certain income of a church or religious organization may be subject to tax, such as income from an unrelated business.
Those are all paid because you have employees.
yes but the point I am making is that Churches and non-profit orginizations do pay taxes. Too many times people thing that a Non-Profit organization pays no taxes.
we have a member here posting up IRS verbiage that would indicate that they think this way.
The tax system is set up that if you are a true non-profit (all volunteers, no employees) you'll have zero overhead.
The Church itself is not paying income taxes, the EMPLOYEES are paying income taxes.
