the top one is 24ft.lbs (long one) and the bottom one says 15ft.lbs.

They use aluminum crush washers.... sealant won't do much.

generally you can find a parts store equivalent for the crush washers.

Here you go, look at page 31. I don't see the crush washers but that doesn't mean Hans isn't right. I don't think mine had them though. It does say to use sealant on the bottom one but doesn't say anything about the top.

BTW, nothing wrong with being anal about your work.

^ hahaha thanks, went to dealer and the parts guy had a blank stare in his face when I asked him about the washers, he said "the picture on the computer only shows 1 side of the trans" I bought 2 washers, im hoping they are the right ones, if not, I will just use sealent.

use sealant on the threads anyway

Buy copper washers of the correct size, FAR better than aluminium ones..
