If you want to save yourself some money, this is the tool I've used since ~2005. All you need is a few minutes on a mill, which I bet you can pull off at work Or you can use a shit load of hand tools like the OP in this thread did:

Make your own valve spring compressor for $15 - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

I don't have access to a mill unfortunately. I think it'd be worth me getting my own tool as I see myself doing this type of work more often down the road. You really can't beat the versatility this $75 tool gives you.

I need to take some pictures for you guys to show you what this head looks like as well as the pistons. I'm still befuddled as to how the head can look this new but have VSS problems.

Or perhaps he used the cheap autozone/aftermarket seals. They fit around the valve stem much looser than OEM does.

Ive always used FelPro vlave stem seals from orileys and did not have an issue. I blame bad install or wrong part. Specfically on 4g63 heads too.

That tool looks nice, but be careful. The holes in the cam towers are super weak.

Well I did get some VSS from a friend who had some he didn't use from a head gasket kit he bought. He didn't specify brand, but what I thought was odd was that there was no way to differentiate from intake and exhaust valve stem seals. Aren't exhaust valve seals usually made of more temp-resistant materials?

I've been told many times before that there's no difference (other than color) between the intake and exhaust valve stem seals. I've had good luck using the same VSS across the board. Keep in mind all of my responses here are 3S related. The most intimate I ever got with a 4G63 was upgrading an exhaust cam on a 50 mile old EVO 9 MR
