I'm not sure which class I'm going to run yet. Max Effort was fun, but I need more front tire for autocross and can't run nitrous. No turbo limitations, so I could swap to something smaller than I have now for autocross, and back to HX40 for drag since I should be able to get on converter without nitrous, just slowly. Had about an hour between autocross and drag last time.

Because I am installing lexan in my fiberglass hatch, that eliminates me from Street Eliminator and Street 32. I could always re-install factory hatch/glass for a weight penalty (I'll be heavier than all competition anyway), but Nitrous for stalling up isn't allowed as well. Quick 32 is where my car will fit because of those two mods, but I am waaaaaay outgunned there on power and weight.

Nice thing about my setup is that a turbo swap is super simple and I can actually re-configure my whole setup fairly easily. I'll decide once I get closer, but ideally, I may run Max Effort with HX35 for autox and HX40 for drag and also run Quick 32 with something in the 67mm variety with nitrous to launch. Both ME and Q32 allow for lexan and gutted interior. I could even swap between full exhaust for ME and side-exit for Q32. I purposely built almost everything with Vbands and 5min swaps

Won't be competitive in any of it vs the purpose built shootout DSMs, but it will be fun! I highly recommend more 3S participation, not just spectating.

if a full on 3s NG continues to dwindle and eventually cease, I think the DSM shootout followed by maybe one day of 3S specific stuff would be a great alternative.

Shootout is very well put together and the car porn is strong! Unbelievable amount of badass cars. We had a great spot for tow vehicle, tent and 3SM 001 in the "pits." Met a great owner, Rocky who had a clean 1g, twin 16g car in autocross and tnt drags so he joined our camp.

I'm hopeful we can get a bigger group of 3S making a showing next year. There may be one or two additional 3SMs participating too.

Didn't they ban 3Ss several years ago because we were embarrassing to the Mitsubishi badge?

Lol, that's because they take more than $5k to modify. If you spent more than $5K total including the car itself then they look at you funny. Lol just a jab at the DSM guys

Again, cool that you did it...but what in the actual fuck man?
No torque, but it's a good start...
