    No smoking gun,the crank is great. All restricters in. The only two things it could have been are solved by a new pump. It was within wear limits, but had 2 grooves on both sides of the housing (pics/measurements previously posted). The other is bypass spring shitting itself or valve stuck open, or both.

    I have no other answer, so we shall see.

    And another mishap Kenny had makes me confident it was the grooves in the pump. He lost pressure, pulled the pump apart, and it looked like mine. Albeit another platform.

    also, yeah, my oil pump had sloppy tolerances and ate rod bearings in the EXACT same way that Bill's was. No clue what my pressure was, but the bearings looked exactly like they were starving. 130mph+ chasing an RX-7 did them in

    OK, I need to order a cam degreeing kit so I have it when the BC gears are shipped.

    Thoughts on which brand/model?
