New MAF options coming for Chrome?

Do I recall correctly that Greg was working on a new higher HP MAF option for Chrome??

I was thinking baout getting the EVO MAF off and going ZO6 & MAFT buuuut, if I know another option is coming maybe I'll wait.

I thought I read something a week or two ago but cant find it. Is there a development thread? Anyone know more about what and when??

    Cheers.

Greg's idea (to my knowledge) didn't pan out, but I saw Adam (Jesters) drop a hint the other day, so maybe he can chime in

Interesting. I thought we were stalled out at Gm/MAFT. Meh, I have to put the bitch back together still.

I recall seeing the same hint so that is one of the things I am hopeful for.

I think the ZO6, MAFT combo is working great for but any improvements are always welcome.

only thing Z006, MAFT combo lacks is barometric reading right? Does it make alot of difference in various weather conditions?

It lacks a baro reading, but at the end of the day it's just a guesstimate because you have the translator. Then the ECU uses the translators signal to make its calculations... it's pretty much translating a translated signal.

What that means is, things can compound, which is why some people (like red heads with 3.7L strokers...) end up with lean spots they have to tune around. If we could get a MAF that could read and send a direct signal to the ECU, you would have more accurate, consistent, and (probably) a broader signal range to work with.

Those are my thoughts on the subject anyhow. I like the maft/gm maf combo, but it could be improved upon.

We've had a tested and tuned working MAF for well over a year now. Even been selling them on the site.

They're literally a combo of a stock 3/S MAF housing with EVO MAF internals. It's been tested to make well over 450hp so far but no one seems to have a car capable of making any more power than that. That's why we haven't really been advertising it. It hasn't been tested on a car making any real power.

Installation is just like swapping any other stock MAF. No adapter harness. Keep your current air filter. Not even necessary to change your tune. It even looks stock.

Oops I lied. The MAF link hasn't been updated. It's still showing the montero MAF with adapter. Although Adam said anyone who has bought one got the new MAF.
