most reliable/ accurate oil pressure gauge

how's it going guys?

I'm trying to pick out a goooood oil pressure gauge. seems like people like defi, some also haven't had a problem with autometer..

I'm just looking for a good electric oil pressure gauge. maybe with a warranty, but not at all necessary if the gauge can handle the test of time.

what are y'all running? I'll probably stick with it for other gauges that I end up getting.

I see that pampena sells aem, and I Could spend 200 on a gauge I just want something good...

I feel like if I ran what nascar. or f1 ran, I couldn't loose. unrealistic?

just looking for opinions, and some facts to back opinions up wouldn't be bad either.

those gauges don't look bad at all. you have to remove the dash to get those gauges in nicely, don't you?

but like I said, I'm not as concerned with how the look as much as I am how long they last/ how durable they are

why did you pick greddy and defi by the way?

No, you don't have to remove the dash. There's room behind the passenger airbag on a 2G and on a 1G if you cut a small section behind the right of the instrument cluster (once you remove the main gauge cluster) you can get in there. Its a pain and perhaps easier to pull the dash, but I've never had the dash out to tell you.

I picked Defi because I trust US and Japanese manufacturers over anyone else and Defi has a long history of making good gauges. Greddy too. In fact from looking at them both I would postulate that Greddy and Defi have the same original manufacturer. The senders are pretty much identical. That is another good point, the defi and greedy gauge senders screw directly into the stock locations. The thread is the same and the senders are very compact.

I don't have a STACK (because I'm an idiot and wasted money on a POS VDO gauge) but I've heard they're on or above the quality level of greddy/defi and they're used in motorsports around the world because they're renowned for their accuracy/quality. I personally prefer STACK's style, which is why I'd choose them over greddy/defi. I don't think it much matters when you get to a known high quality gauge like any of those.

Most NASCAR teams use the spek pro gauges by pro parts. Not really because of an accuracy standpoint but due to their NASCAR specific pit lane speedo operation.

F1 and the like uses aerospace senders that are hooked directly into the ecu can bus, and each sender can cost thousands. You have no use for 4 decimal accuracy.

In the consumer market, any gauge that will cost you around $200 each will be decent. Defi, greddy, spek, stack, aem, any gauge with a small diameter quality sender with a sensor ground will suffice. Even if you're off a few degrees or psi, its the change over time that matters not the absolute value.

I'm thinking it'll be between greddy(if I can get my hands on one), defi, and stack.

I was using a prosport, it worked for a bit, but not nearly long enough. but, I suppose that I get what I pay for.
