That sounds great Lori!! The possibility of getting back on the IMS will definitely help to draw additional attendees. I'll start working on these lame Florida owners and see if I can't convince a few to take advantage of this great opportunity. (Can't call it once in a lifetime anymore!)

For people who have never done it but will next year if we have NG, they can probably say "once in a lifetime." Honestly, I'm still a little stunned that we're going to get to do it again. It was so hard to plan the first time, but this time we have a history with them... I guess that helped.

I'm getting a TON of questions again, so here are the answers you're looking for. Maybe by posting them we can cut back on a few PM's.

    1. Since Pittsburgh was second place, will you go back there for 2017?
A: We don't even know if there's going to be an NG16 yet. I definitely wouldn't count on an NG17. At this point, I think we should treat each year as if it's the last.
    2. Can I apply my NG16 refund to NG17?
A: No. Refer back to question #1. But also, this was done to raise seed money for NG16 and to see if it can continue. Applying them to NG17 would be an accounting nightmare.
    3. When will you decide if there will be an NG16?
A: Once all of the people who voted for Michigan or Pitt have contacted us one way or the other and we know how many people are committed. We didn't get the number of voters we had said was our drop-dead minimum, so we're really on the fence. As I stated before, the chance of collaborating with another group is a factor. There were some other things that happened this year that give me a lot of hesitation. We'll see how it all works out. I most definitely will not decide anything before August 13th.
    4. You mentioned making changes for this year. What are they?
A: Let's start with finding a way to lower registration prices. We're also trying to collaborate with another group for road course. That's a start... There are others, but nothing I'm willing to address right now.

    Hope this helps.

A question that will apply to some of us (maybe not me):

What if you voted like 8 times ($200 worth) and registration or whathave you is only $180? What happens to the additional $20?

    Just asking

47 voters isn't terrible... there were only like 52 cars at NG15 (I read that as 52 forum members)... so 47 voters... not terrible. I assume 50 was your drop-dead minimum... we were so close! I would be willing to help out on some weekends in Indy if you give me a heads up, I'm about 2 hours away.

Not bad! Hope it does happen so i can have redemption for this years attendance. I paid but didn't make it

It is very likely that, again if it happens, I will have a car to actually bring!

I was wondering when this would come up. Figures it would be you to do it.

Pretty simple answer... USE IT. But don't worry... You will. Even with lower registration costs, there will be TONS of ways to use it. I didn't see anyone vote so much that they wouldn't be able to use it up in registration fees, even if it's an extra t-shirt, and there were some BIG voters. If you choose not to use it, I guess it's called a donation... Having to issue refunds at that point is counter-productive.

And yes... were were THAT close to the minimum.

Just for the sake of knowing, how many votes did the highest voter cast? I voted 16 times, wondering how many topped that.

Good lord, Dan. You and Manny are probably half of the Pittsburgh votes, I think he voted quite a bit as well.

Haha yeah my votes alone were about a fifth of the total Pittsburgh votes. A lot of people only cast like one or two votes. I figure since I'm going to spend that money anyway, why not? Going by NG15 prices, $400 covered 2 registrations plus the road course. If I don't take the refund, that 10% will basically pay for the autocross.

Also, Lori, I noticed that the Comfort Inn and Sleep Inn we used to stay at in Indy are now a Holiday Inn Express and Motel 6. Does that make a difference?
