It looks like I need to turn off the 'B' coils and turn on 4, 5, and 6 but also copy the "Coil Phasing" values from the 'B' coils to their respective new coils.

Also, did you need to change any of the advanced pickup options like "Spark Teeth"? I've been reading on these options and the base map I started with seems to already be configured to sequential ignition even though my ignition is the stock wasted spark setup. The following screen shot shows what I'm talking about. Wheel Teeth is set to 6 and so is Spark Teeth.

I'll have to check my pin 91/coil#4 to see if it's busted too.

Thanks again. I'm getting excited about running sequential ignition!

Yes Greg you are right, You need to turn off the "B" coils and use their values for 4,5 & 6. As far as anything else that you have mentioned I never changed Them.

Tigchamp, if you're still around: I think the dash gets it's tach signal from the PTU. When you removed the PTU, did you just hook the "tach" output of the AEM CDI unit to the signal running to the dash? Or maybe your tach is broken?

You are correct Spikey, although I also remove the plug that goes to the PTU I suspect that the feed is more than just one wire.

Tach feed to the dash is just one wire at the PTU. The white one, if I remember right. I hooked my MSD DIS4+ tach output straight to that wire and it worked fine.

You can also run these types of coils just fine with a 4-channel CDI box in wasted-spark configuration and it works great.

It may be a dip switch on the 8 channel that I have to set as it is most definitely not working in sequential ignition. I have connected the tach feed via the white wire.

The AEM EMS2 knows what revs the engine is doing so perhaps there is a way of running the tach direct from the EMS.

Tigchamp, would you do me a HUGE favor? I'm really curious what the primary resistance is on those 30-2850 AEM pencil coils; I don't suppose you'd measure it for me?

Thanks for all the help so far.
