Who didn't see this coming? We all knew she would slut out as soon as possible. Lucky my kids could smell fail so they always hated her, I even defended her once and a while. This is nothing different though, Brook played mom and disapproves but she played a 14yo nude sex object in the blue lagoon. Every year some "artist" pushes the boundary on the VMA's, and it works every time. Everyone is talking about it and she's going to make big money.

Best thing to do is just raise your kid with morals and let them see this shit, then you can say "look honey, this is how a stupid whore acts". they will be disgusted, trust me

Sadly though, yes, she has gotten an obscene amount of publicity over it it. Honestly, look at other celebrities who have done stupid shit and then gotten rewarded for it. One of my favorite examples would be Charlie Sheen. He acted all crazy and shit till they let him out of the contract for 2 and a Half Men. Then he suddenly stopped and BAM, gets a brand new show on FX and sets a ratings record for it.
