Today i swapped my Gunmetal grey 18" Ultralite Atec's from my car onto the wifes car. These were replaced with a set identical but bronze for my car, so now i can sell my 19's !! Will upload pics later hopefully![]()
Thanks to Jimvr4's post a page back, I decided to gut the rear precat while I had to swap downpipes. Dirty job but it was easier than I was expecting.![]()
Then tidied up the interior a bit and pondered dropping the oil pan to knock out a dent before it got too hot for my liking. The car should be ready for the NG by next weekend!

Topped off gear oil and rotated tires. Shifts better.
New tires up front and traction is still a problem![]()

Track Day... Finally dialed in this suspension tire combo and then proceeded to kil it. I drove 75 miles to HPR, participated in (9) full advanced group sessions, logged 148 laps total, and then drove home! No big issues atm...![]()
Changed leaky cam seals. First time pulling a timing belt on a 3S while engine is still in the car![]()
1992 Kilder Green VR4 - First 4G swap in a 3S. 2.0, auto, awd. 9.65 at 143mph. Now LS swapped. 8.52 at 162.
Good trend familyMAN!
Painted the 6-speed. Separated the mid case to reseal it. Collected all the trans and tc bolts for re-plating. Tapped a new spool seal into the TC case. That's all seals in the trans and TC replaced except the input shaft O-ring. Broke down the calipers for redoing the PC. Re-set the wastegates to crack open at 12 PSI. Replaced the H connector with a T since the cap kept popping off above 16-18 PSI and I don't have extra mini clamps. Measured the vacuum at which the Type S BOV open at 20 PSI. Thinking it needs a stiffer spring to hold boost up to 25-30 PSI.
Almost forgot, I took the front O2 housing to the machine shop to have them remove the O2 sensor after I nearly rounded off the hex with an O2 wrench, propane torch, and a 2 foot breaker bar. I asked the machinest what it took to remove it. His words "an act of God" O2 was working when the car broke down but I didn't want to put it back on the car knowing I couldn't remove it later when it goes. Money well spent.
