Finally got the car going again. Something a little different


Here it all is out of the car


2x TD04 9bs, 1x twinscroll bastardized T04 hybrid plumbed up as a compound turbo setup. Should provide the quick spoolup of the stock turbos with the follow through and power of the big single. Apart from being a plumbing nightmare, its a win/win.

Obviously still heaps of tidying up to do, its getting there though

I think you'll find in a compound situation the 9b in the primary position is too small, but you'll have redonkulous low boost threshold. At low RPM, even if the atmo turbo is providing 1 or 2 psi, in a compound situation it'll make like 20 psi easy in the manifold as soon as you have like 10-12 psi from the 9b's, and if you have like 10 psi from the 9b's and 5+ psi from the t04......40psi is possible. There's a formula for compounding but for the life of me I can't find my pounder's book. The best setups are using a primary that's a bit too big and laggy (16Gish would be good here I think), and a very efficient low PR/high flow atmo, and that creates like no lag at all and hyperspeed when the wick is turned up, lol.

yes, i don't recall seeing it done with 3x turbos. a guy on 3sdie did it with 2 turbos and a supercharger...but he ditched it eventually.

Wired up the 3SX front motor active aero simulator... Worked perfectly It's so cool having a functional rear spoiler again

Finally hooked up the horn on my Momo steering wheel the right way. I'm surprised what a chore that was.. I wish we were able to keep the factory clock spring thing, would have saved me some time and money lol.
