I used what he sold and he indicated that was what to use.

Diaqueen is pretty awesome stuff, but you have to get the fluid for the tranny, NOT t-case. I don't know who would put the t-case stuff in a tranny...

    Jack
Yes. There is a PN for Tranny, and PN for t-case.
Guess it would be good to know exactly what the PN is for the tranny version. Do you know exactly what you used? MZ313376 that everyone seems to be mentioning is not it.

I bought it straight from jacks for 10.50 a quart. It comes in a generic container, so no part #. That last link has the part number that dbest used that seems to be correct. I am sure it is the same as what jack is selling. He sells it with the getrags he rebuilds for us.

I don't think anyone is using the first one on your piece of paper, the Diamond Gear Lube.

Guessing you just got generic cans and no PN? This seems to make since that he got the correct one because until recently apparently, it only came in 5 gallon pails and larger. I've never seen him reference the EVO PN but everyone else does. So there is a good chance he is offering the mitsu recommended 3000gt oil.

Which I find interesting because two dealerships including cherry hill said that top one is the correct oil for the 3000GT. Well I have it ordered so we'll see what happens lol.

Yeah it was a big plastic one gallon jug with 3 quarts in it. His price is good enough that I think its better to order from him anyway. I'm not saying it shifter bad at all, it is just virtually indistinguishable from redline mtl. In a trans with good or new syncros I don't think the fluid is really that important as long as you do not go to think it will shift well with any of the good fluids. I think the only time it becomes really picky is if your syncros are getting worn.

honestly in reality NOTHING shifts better than syncromesh. Whether or not you are willing to run that is up to you, but I would only run it in a trans that was getting crappy or of unknown condition anyway. For a trans I just rebuilt I'd run the diaqueen or redline.

The sheet you posted is from Gary Melcher's Master Elite service manual from Mile High Mitsubishi here in Denver, Colorado. Diamond gear lube is the appropriate fluid. When you mix different mfr's fluids from OEM you change the slip film on the moving parts of the transmission and have to burn off the old film. Think of the oil film on the synchro's and moving parts similar to brake pads and breaking in/bedding new pads. Until you get the fluid hot enough to burnoff the OEM film you will often find the synchonization and gear shift is notchy.

I use Diamond Gear Lube and feel it yields the smoothest engagement and the best operation feel.
