Minor things all the way from the UK!
Well, started like any other project 7:30 on a Sunday morning...
Out with the old an in with the new ...
Twin plate goodness!
Now, this is where it all goes a bit wrong... the 'i'll just do one more thing'![]()
As of this evening not sure if I'm repairing and upgrading or breaking it! Hahaha! (before anyone asks I'm not breaking it! )
Sidemounts gone and hopefully enough space for the FMIC - have an alloy rad to fit too... and the lower arms are being refurbished.. Need to sort out some electrics and also sort my US style mk4 lights to go on my Mk2 lowers...
The FMIC ... Pit Road M - Type R
Why when changing little things like a clutch... seems to lead onto MANY other things "while I'm there"![]()
Hopefully back together soon with a bit of a new lease of life!
Paul
I finished swapping everything over to a 98/99 ECU. Started the car for the 1st time in 6 months last night, and it fired right up with my base map. Idle AFR's were lean, and my EVOScan data logs were wrong due to it reading the old data.xml, but its a start.

16G+E85...?
the cake is a lie
If that was asking about mine, its a Pit Road M
Made by OS Giken and finished my PRM - the machining on it is amazing and even my 'non-car' friends found it a work of art
Unsure of the $ price over there but its over £1600 here
Good for ~550awhp and rather a good street clutch - where over here most of the cars spend their time, no good drag strips !
Paul
Cant wait to drive it! There is (AFAIK) one other car in the UK with one fitted and he loves it to bits - infact he sold the car and then bought it back after a year (he is building a 650hp+ EVO8) and had forgotten how good the clutch feels even when peeling away with 5k+ rpms
Was surprised at the weight of the 'lightweight' clutch and flywheel... until I took the other one off... damn, no wonder these cars are so heavy!![]()
Mods as it stands should put me in the 470-500awhp range so spot on what the clutch should holdwill keep you all posted when i get it together and tuned
Paul
what was the price on that brake set up, they look huge!!!! i'm still trying to get second gen rotors.hahaha...
Shmoo, what the hell are those wheels on the back and where are your Rotas?
