Short-throw shifters suck, I hate them

I wonder how many people are actually banging their counterweight against their aftermarket BOV. I know I was doing that for awhile.

It's tough to avoid if you mount the BOV down low near the bubble. I ran a short elbow from there and mounted the BOV up near the battery. I also took the BOV apart and rotated it so the hose would route better.

My counterweight bumps my EVO IX BoV but its just enough to make contact. Doesnt knock the trans out of gear or bash the BoV.

I have the ball bearing shifter and after getting used to it, it is great.

i did have the supermac one and it was garbage.

All of those counter weights that are hitting bov can be solved with zipties to the vacuum line...

If you zoom my pic below you can see where I tied it up..
